Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints' Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly. Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o'-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern". The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. Every time they come to a new house, they say,"Trick or treat! Money or eat!" The grown-ups put treat-money or candy in their bags.
Not only children, but most grown-ups also love Halloween and Halloween parties because on this day,they can disguise themselves as personages or ghost as their imaginations will lead them. This bring them the satisfaction of being young.

So they decide to have celebration on that day. They will light up lights to frighten the ghosts.

Thus, Halloween is the most favorable festival for children.

In order to have fun on Halloween, you need to know some things. First: Jack-o'-lantern. Look, this is a Jack-o'-lantern. It is made out of a pumpkin. People put it in front of the door. I want to make one this year. Second: Costumes. On Halloween you can dress up and cosplay whomever you like, such as Snow White, Superman, Captain Jack and so on. Do you know who I want to be: Spiderman!!!
The third one is “Trick or Treat” game. I think it is the most fun part of the holiday. At night, kids go out in the costumes and they knock at their neighbors’ doors. If they can’t get “treat”, they will play a trick. Of course, they will get a lot of candies and sweets on that night.

我和媽媽早早地來到了活動集合地點，報到后領(lǐng)了一張活動的介紹。等人差不多齊了后，我們各自得到了一個英文名，然后來到了一個充滿萬圣節(jié)氣氛的小屋：神秘的黑色城堡與墳?zāi)�；詭異的南瓜燈；墻上貼滿了各種各樣的妖魔鬼怪的圖案······讓人直冒冷汗。
活動開始了，首先是通過一個小短片讓我們知道了萬圣節(jié)的由來：萬圣節(jié)最早是愛爾蘭人驅(qū)趕鬼神的.節(jié)日，又叫“夏之盡頭”。但信奉神的教皇不同意了，便把11月1日訂為跪拜鬼神的節(jié)日，但10月31日晚要驅(qū)趕鬼神的呀，于是正式把“夏之盡頭”改為“Hlloween(萬圣節(jié))”。據(jù)說這一天在西方國家，孩子們都會穿上精靈古怪的衣服提著南瓜燈挨家挨戶討糖吃。
既然說到挨家討糖吃，接下來我們就玩了“Trick or treat（不給糖就搗蛋）”的游戲。我提了一盞南瓜燈敲了敲門，笑嘻嘻地說：“Trick or treat”，然后走進(jìn)門，老師就給我了兩顆糖。耶！太容易了！
最好玩的要數(shù)“咬蘋果”了。老師把蘋果懸掛在繩子上讓我們?nèi)ヒВ荒苡米觳荒苡檬�，誰先咬到，誰就是優(yōu)勝者。輪到我了，我挑了個最中間的蘋果準(zhǔn)備下嘴�？墒俏业淖靹偱龅教O果，它就“跳”開了，反復(fù)嘗試了好幾次，都以失敗告終。我急了，對準(zhǔn)蘋果張大嘴露出鋒利的牙齒狠狠地咬了下去。嗚……蘋果“逃”得更快了，還來了個“反彈”，我的鼻子！游戲時間到了，雖然我沒有咬到蘋果，但作為鼓勵老師還是送了我一只蘋果。哈哈！我連忙用雙手接過蘋果咬了下去。這下你“逃”不掉了吧，用手拿著吃就是方便��！
