一、簡單句
在這里特別要說幾個處理方式：
1、定語采取的是前置和拆分。
2、同位語和插入語采取的.是跳讀。
3、狀語采取的是剝離。
例如：A lateral move that hurt mypride and blocked my professional progress prompted me to abandon my relativelyhigh profile career although, in the manner of a disgraced government minister,i covered my exit by claiming "I wanted to spend more time with my family".
[分析] 本句中，a lateral move 是主語，prompted 是謂語，that hurt my pride and blocked my professionalprogress 是 a lateral move 的定語， although，... with my family 是狀語，其中逗號之間的 in the manner of a disgraced government minister 是插入語。
[譯文] 一次側(cè)面的不光明磊落的攻擊傷害了我的自尊，阻礙了我事業(yè)的發(fā)展，使我不得不拋棄了那份引人注目的工作，盡管表面上我還要以一個蒙受屈辱的政府部長的姿態(tài)，通過聲稱“我只不過是想多和家人呆在一起”來掩蓋我的退出。
二、非簡單句
非簡單句是指含有一套以上主謂結(jié)構(gòu)且句子中成分是句子構(gòu)成的，如并列句、主從復(fù)合句。相對比較復(fù)雜，需要同學(xué)們多加練習(xí)，熟悉這類句子的特征并掌握其分析方法。
例如：A poem line describes a fight between a Turkish and aBulgarian officer on a birdge off which they both fall into the river.
[分析] 這個句子是一個典型的定語從句，句子的的拆分點是off，which指代前面的名詞birdge，這樣這個句子就分成了兩個句子：
1、A poem line describes a fight between a Turkish and aBulgarian officer on the birdge.
2、They both fall into the river off the bridge.
面對非簡單句，化繁為簡是最直接有效的辦法。
