一、教材分析
Module 8 Book 5 的主題是“School”，“ Unit 1 What time does school start?”的語言功能是描述學(xué)校生活；學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù)為“What time does school start? What time do you get up?”
二、學(xué)情分析
本課的教學(xué)對象是五年級學(xué)生，他們已經(jīng)掌握了一定的英語詞匯，具有一定的英語學(xué)習(xí)的積極性與主動性，具備了一定的英語語言運用能力，求知欲增強。因此，在新知識傳授的同時，教師要盡可能多的為學(xué)生創(chuàng)造良好的語言環(huán)境，給學(xué)生充足的語言“習(xí)得”機會，讓學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)中積極參與、大膽發(fā)言，從而形成積極的情感態(tài)度和自主學(xué)習(xí)的能力。
三、教學(xué)目標(biāo)

1、能聽懂、會說并認(rèn)讀下列單詞：exercise, before, playground, skip, coffee, tea.
2、能聽懂、會說并認(rèn)讀下列句子：What time does school start? My school starts at 9 o’clock. What time do you get up? I get up at half past seven.
（二）能力目標(biāo)
能口頭運用“What time does school start?”這類語句詢問發(fā)生的時
間，并能口頭運用“My school starts at 9 o’clock.”這類語句回答。
（三）情感目標(biāo)
為學(xué)生創(chuàng)設(shè)輕松、愉悅、和諧的英語課堂學(xué)習(xí)氛圍，使學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)中敢于開口說英語，并了解西方小學(xué)學(xué)校日常生活習(xí)慣，從而對英語學(xué)習(xí)產(chǎn)生更為濃厚的興趣。
四、教學(xué)要點分析
（一）教學(xué)重點
1．單詞：exercise, before, playground, skip, coffee, tea 的認(rèn)讀。
2．運用“What time … ?”來詢問事情發(fā)生的時間。

六、教學(xué)過程
Step 1 Warming-up
1. Chant:《I like coffee, I like tea.》(第二冊中M3 U2 4)
教師一手拿coffee 一手拿tea的英語單詞卡片示意學(xué)生一起拍手說Chant，并教授單詞：coffee, tea。（教授單詞時盡量提供一些學(xué)過的'詞匯，鼓勵學(xué)生自己讀出來，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的拼讀能力。）
Step 2 Presentation
1. Leading-in.
(1)課件出示學(xué)校的圖片介紹說：This is our school. Do you read a book in your classroom?
(2)課件出示學(xué)校學(xué)生跳繩和做操的照片
T: What are they doing? They are skipping. Do you skip in the playground?
They are doing morning exercises.
(3)課件出示學(xué)校作息時間表引出句型：What time does our
school start? 及回答：My school starts at eight o’clock.
T：We know the school life in China, how about the children in England? Today，let’s go and visit their school with Amy.
【設(shè)計意圖】出示自己學(xué)校的照片，學(xué)生感覺熟悉，同時滲透playground，skipping，exercise的單詞的教學(xué)，為下邊的教學(xué)活動做好相關(guān)鋪墊。通過介紹自己的學(xué)校引出Amy的學(xué)校生活是什么樣的？與我們的學(xué)校有什么不同?

T: Our school starts at 8:00. What time does Amy’s school
start? Do you know? Let’s listen to the tape and answer the question:
What time does Amy’s school start?
【設(shè)計意圖】由學(xué)校生活自然要談到幾點上課的問題，學(xué)生對此問題的提出不會感到唐突。由教師對Our school starts at 8:00.的講解，孩子們也一定急于知道英國學(xué)生的上課時間，從而初步感知課文內(nèi)容，了解課文大意。

T: I get up at 5:30. What time do you get up?
T: You get up at … And you go to school by schoolbus or walk to school and so on. How about Amy? Let’s listen again and answer the following questions:
① What time does Amy go to school?

A. She walks to school. B. She goes to school by schoolbus.
【設(shè)計意圖】由于中西方孩子上學(xué)時間的不同，學(xué)生起床時間的早晚必然不同。通過對問題的回答，讓學(xué)生對中西方學(xué)校生活的差異有更深的了解。
（3）Look and say.
課件出示get up/watch TV/go to bed/have English/read a book/go to school的圖片讓學(xué)生進(jìn)行交流。

B: I get up at
詢問小伙伴的起床時間、上學(xué)時間等。
