At noon today, the teachers and students of the whole school gathered to watch the war movie Assembly in the amphitheatre. Many students havent seen it, and it feels refreshing. I watched it intently for fear of missing a plot. This movie is really wonderful.
The story takes place during the War of Liberation, when China and the Kuomintang reactionaries fought to the death. Company commander Gu Zidi led his ninth company. At first, there were more than 100 people. After a battle with the enemy, more than half of them died, and only 47 people were alive. There were few people and many dangers. Company commander Gu Zidi led 47 people into a more cruel battle. They bombed the enemys battle tanks with cannons and grenades, and the guns shook the earth. Smoke billowed everywhere, and the ground was full of victims. The scene was very tragic. The land and river were red with blood. That is the blood of martyrs!
The soldiers sacrificed one after another. The whole company took the assembly number as the command, and never retreated without hearing the bugle. However, the bugle never rang. The 47 soldiers in the company were very disciplined, and all the orders were obeyed, just like the geese in the sky. No matter how to change the formation in flight, they would be arranged in order. When it comes to Assembly, it is really the best war film in China so far. It doesnt have the traditional heroic technique of war films, describing how great a hero is, but it restores the ruthlessness and absurdity of war. When I saw the first half, I didnt feel very good about it, because it was too bloody and cruel, and I thought that the two-hour story was always such a terrible war scene.
Later, when the company commander Gu Zidi lost his brother, lost his identity and still stubbornly searched for his former troops, I was moved. I believe you must be moved by the people who have seen this film.
Although he has gone through a lot of hardships, he has finally achieved his goal of self-glorifying his dead brothers and seeking justice for them.
This war blockbuster does not praise Gu Zidis strong and stubborn character and his loyalty to his friends, but we all admire Gu Zidi, which may be the success of this film.
