Since we entered Senior 3, every one of us has been striving to be admitted into an ideal university. And after a term of hard work, most of us are on the way to success. However, some of us feel mentally and physically exhausted without making any progress. Therefore, I’d like to share with you my advice.
To begin with, since last September, I have already got used to the pace of Senior 3, and I know when, what and even where to study during different periods of the day. Second, difference in age also leads to misunderstanding. Young people want to do everything they like, while old people can’t help interfering when they think what the young people are doing is wrong. This inevitably leads to disagreement.
In my opinion, generation gap can be bridged as long as both parents and children are willing to make efforts. They may have an open talk and tell each other what they think about certain problems. The reason why the two universities have changed their traditional methods of enrolling new students, I think, is that they want more students with real talents. As we know, the National College Entrance Examination sometimes may not be able to fully test a student’s ability in communication, organizationg or even study. What’s more, a person of full-scale knownledge is not in their class may lack independent thinking and creativity.
The reform of enrolling college students is a sign to us students:we should widen our vision, be active in thinking in order to survive in the competitive society.
