12月1日是世界愛滋病日。每年的12月1日都被作為“世界艾滋病日”以號召全世界人民行動起來，共同對抗艾滋病。
目前，我國的毒品和艾滋病形勢非常嚴峻，學(xué)校是禁毒與預(yù)防艾滋病的重要陣地。艾滋病的全稱為獲得性免疫缺陷綜合癥，是一種由逆轉(zhuǎn)錄病毒引起的人體免疫防御系統(tǒng)方面的疫病。人體處于正常狀態(tài)時，體內(nèi)免疫系統(tǒng)對機體起著良好的“防御”作用，抵抗各種病原體的襲擊。一但受艾滋病病毒感染之后，人體的這種良好防御系統(tǒng)便會受到破壞，防御功能減退，因而這時病原體及微生物得以乘機經(jīng)血行及破損傷口長驅(qū)直入。此外，身體中一些不正常的細胞，例如癌細胞，也同樣乘機迅速生長、大量繁殖起來，發(fā)展成各類癌瘤。也就是說，艾滋病病人主要表現(xiàn)為免疫系統(tǒng)受到嚴重損傷，機體抵抗力下降，以至誘發(fā)嚴重感染和一些少見的癌瘤。
1981年美國發(fā)現(xiàn)首例艾滋病之后，艾滋病病病毒在全球范圍內(nèi)的傳播速度驚人。為了提高公眾對艾滋病危害的認識，世界衛(wèi)生組織將每年的12月1日確定為世界艾滋病日，號召世界各國在這一天舉辦各種活動，宣傳和普及預(yù)防艾滋病的知識。據(jù)統(tǒng)計，近20多年來我國艾滋病感染者已超過100萬。
艾滋病是一種可怕的病，一旦感染，我們目前的醫(yī)療水平是無藥可救的，但是只要我們潔身自好，科學(xué)預(yù)防，是完全可以避免患上艾滋病的，作為學(xué)生我們應(yīng)該做到以下兩點：
1、首先要學(xué)會保護自己，要遠離可導(dǎo)致性騷擾和性暴力的環(huán)境和場所，比如不要出入夜總會、歌廳;晚上不要單獨外出;休息時間在網(wǎng)吧、游戲廳等場所不能玩得太晚等。
2、不和他人共用牙刷、不共用電動剃須刀，不吸毒品，不紋身，不紋眉，不紋唇線和扎耳朵眼，不和別人共用針頭和注射器。不到消毒不規(guī)范無營業(yè)執(zhí)照的醫(yī)療機構(gòu)和診所拔牙治牙。
同時我們也要知道一般性的接觸，比如握手，共同進餐，共用學(xué)習(xí)用品，公用電話機，打噴嚏、咳嗽，蚊蟲叮咬，游泳等均不會感染愛滋病。
