然而，美國的教學方法就與我國大不相同。在美國某一課堂上，老師教學生用氣壓計測量樓房的高度時，那位老師便把學生找來，不是教訓一頓，而是耐心地問：“還有別的方法嗎?”學生答道：“方法多得很，我可以把氣壓計拴在繩子上，從樓頂順下來，再測量這根繩子的長度……”我不得不佩服這位學生的想象力和創(chuàng)新力。如果這位學生出現在我國則會使大部分老師怒發(fā)沖冠，覺得該學生是故意抬杠，嘩眾取寵，搗亂課堂秩序。因為這位學生用了老師沒教過的方法。在當今競爭激烈的社會上，如果只用“老師教過的方法”來解決問題，不創(chuàng)新，那么科技如何發(fā)展?據說，近年來，全國的小發(fā)明僅僅是改造了一些黑板擦，臉盆架等。這原因固然是多方面的，但教學方法守舊肯定有之。
我國某一教育家曾在黑板上畫了一個點，然后問剛入學的小學生說：“這是什么?”他們回答是：“綠豆、月亮、鷹眼、乒乓球、燒餅……”，而拿同樣的問題問小學畢業(yè)生，他們卻回答是：“小數點”、“粉筆點”�？梢�，僅僅是小學畢業(yè)，人類可貴的想象力就被禁錮到這種程度。這充分說明我國傳統(tǒng)的教育體制和教育方法嚴重阻礙了創(chuàng)新思維的發(fā)展。
在當今社會，科技爆炸，知識更新速度快得驚人。國與國之間的競爭，歸根結底就是人才的競爭，如果我們不能培養(yǎng)出具有創(chuàng)新精神的人才，那么我們也就應了孫中山先生說得那句話：“落后就要挨打”。要培養(yǎng)出創(chuàng)新人才，就要求老師不僅要教會學生知識，還要教會他們如何發(fā)現知識。正所謂是“授人以魚不如授人以漁”。
綜上所述，只有教育的改革，教育方法的改變，才能培養(yǎng)出真正的創(chuàng)新人才。
