　　Before the New Year comes, the people completely clean the indoors and outdoors of their homes as well as their clothes, bedclothes and all their utensils.

　　Then people begin decorating their clean rooms featuring an atmosphere of rejoicing and festivity. All the door panels will be pasted with Spring Festival couplets, highlighting Chinese calligraphy with black characters on red paper. The content varies from house owners' wishes for a bright future to good luck for the New Year. Also, pictures of the god of doors and wealth will be posted on front doors to ward off evil spirits and welcome peace and abundance.

　　午休的時候，我正在津津有味的看書，有位老師走進(jìn)教室說：“請報上英語班的同學(xué)去報告廳集合。”哎呀！我都快忘了英語選拔這件事兒了！我那小小的心臟頓時緊張得像巖漿漫延開來。我和幾個同學(xué)一起來到了報告廳，只見兩個老外在向我們招手哩！接著老外開始和我們挨個的用英語交流，看著前面同學(xué)有順利過關(guān)的，我也跟著一起開心，而沒有通過的同學(xué)垂頭喪氣，我莫名的心里直打鼓。

　　終于輪到我了，給我測試的外國老師是位黑人，很熱情開朗，他用英語簡單的和我對話交流，剛開始我因?yàn)橛行┬【o張，沒聽清老師說的'英文意思，沒想到老師竟然用中文告訴我，我馬上流利的回答，接下來我都能非常自然的和外國老師對話交談，我發(fā)現(xiàn)淘汰賽其實(shí)并沒有想像的那么恐怖呀！測試結(jié)束，在焦急的等待中，結(jié)果終于出來了！如我所愿，我真的被選上啦！我好興奮哦！
