Many people would list San Francisco as one of the most delightful cities in the world. Sitting on the Pacific coast, it gives you a feeling of the sea. The sea breezes wake you up and make you eat well and sleep well. The city was planned with straight roads, and these roads cross each other at right angles, making squares as they do in many American cities. Very often you can find yourself on top of a hill in the city, looking down one of these straight roads as it rises and falls on its journey through the town. A good way to travel these roads is by cable car. These are buses that run on rails in the ground up and down the steep hills.

A: Your resume mentioned that you had been the surveyor, which was a concurrent job, of a certain market survey company. What was your main work content?

B: My main duties include designing survey sheets, transferring them to the dispatchers, making telephone covering on blurred information and processing the data and doing the primary analysis.

A: What had you gained mainly from this survey activity?
A:你認(rèn)為在這個(gè)調(diào)研過(guò)程中你最大的收獲是什么？
B: First, it was how to design survey sheets according to the subjects, because we had to prevent the questions from being too influential and we must make sure that every question was balanced and equitable. Secondly, it was how to get information through telephone covering in the fastest and most effectively way, because the person doing the survey usually doesn’t have the patience to wait for long feedback. So the way we put up questions must be clear and direct and only by this means can we get accurate data.
B:首先是如何根據(jù)調(diào)研對(duì)象設(shè)計(jì)問(wèn)卷， 因?yàn)閱?wèn)卷的設(shè)計(jì)必須避免問(wèn)題本身帶 有太強(qiáng)的引導(dǎo)性，要盡量使得每一個(gè) 問(wèn)題都是公正的、平衡的。其次是如 何通過(guò)電話采訪的方式以最快、最有 效的方式獲得信息，因?yàn)檎{(diào)研對(duì)象通 常沒(méi)有耐心在電話中花很長(zhǎng)時(shí)間等待 反饋的信息，所以提問(wèn)的方式必須直 接而又清晰，才能夠獲得準(zhǔn)確的數(shù)據(jù)。
