2.admiresb.forsth.因為某事兒欽佩（或羨慕）某人everybodyadmireshimforhisfinesenseofhumor.人人都欽佩他那絕妙的.幽默感。
3.bemeanttodosth.被認為應做某事
（尤指根據(jù)職責或命令、吩咐等做某事）wearemeanttowriteournamesatthetopofthepaper.我們應該把名字寫在試卷的上方。
4.takeplace發(fā)生

7.thebridewasdressedinwhite.新娘穿一身白色的禮服。
welookforwardtothereturnofspring.我們期待著春天的到來。
i’mlookingforwardtohearingfromyousoon.我在盼望你的盡快來信。
9.havefunwithsb.與某人一起嬉戲，找樂子
havingnothingtodo,theyhadfunwiththecat.他們無事可干，耍貓取樂。
10.havefun玩得開心
thekidsarehavingfun.孩子們正玩得開心呢。
11.in/forfun開玩笑地，非認真地
heislearningfrenchfor/infun.他學法語只是好玩。
12.makeafoolofoneself出丑，出洋相
he’salwaysafraidofmakingafoolofhimself.他總是怕出洋相。
13.makeafoolofsb.愚弄某人areyoutryingtomakeafoolofme?你想愚弄我嗎？
